Salman Shagaya Foundation Launches Ramadan Cash Relief for 1000 Beneficiaries Amidst Celebrations
—Event to Precede Further Empowerment by Rep. Shagaya on Tuesday.
In a significant act of generosity and community support, the Salman Shagaya Foundation, led by Alhaji Sheriff Shagaya, has initiated its Ramadan Cash Relief Empowerment program.
This initiative successfully disbursed financial aid to 1000 grateful recipients across the state, with the ceremony held at the Honourable Muktar Shagaya Constituency Office in Ilorin.
This initiative represents a crucial part of the foundation’s commitment to alleviating hardship during the holy month of Ramadan.
Alhaji Muftau Akanbi Oke, the NGO’s Director General, highlighted the foundation’s dedication to impacting lives positively, stating, “The Ramadan Cash Relief Empowerment reflects our ongoing mission to support the underprivileged in Kwara State, ensuring they can observe Ramadan with dignity and comfort.”
The assistance was distributed in two tiers, with beneficiaries receiving either 100,000 naira or 50,000 naira through cash payments or bank transfers. The atmosphere was charged with joy and thankfulness as recipients voiced their appreciation for the foundation’s support.
Adding a spiritual dimension to the event, Sheikh Abdulrazaq Alohunmata delivered an inspiring sermon that touched the hearts of all attendees, enriching their Ramadan experience with profound spiritual insights.
Moreover, the foundation announced an upcoming empowerment event by Honourable Muktar Tolani Shagaya, set for Tuesday, 19th of March, 2024. This event aims to support an additional 700 individuals from Ilorin West and Asa Local Governments with financial aid ranging between 100,000 naira and 50,000 naira.
Sheikh Alohunmata also commended Alhaji Sherif Shagaya for his significant philanthropic contributions, underscoring the positive impact of his work on both the Islamic community and society at large.
The empowerment program was attended by notable figures, including Alhaji Ganiy Saadu, Chairman of Asa Local Government, and other distinguished community leaders. Their presence underscored the community’s collective support for the foundation’s philanthropic efforts and the widespread appreciation for its contributions to societal wellbeing.
