Experienced football administrator Bashir Badawiy has expressed his joy at returning to Kwara United as General Manager, marking a significant homecoming for the Ira-born leader.

Badawiy had previously served with Kwara United for three successful seasons, during which the team achieved commendable results, including finishing among the top four and participating in the prestigious CAF Confederations Cup.

In his statement, Badawiy conveyed his excitement about rejoining Kwara United, emphasizing his dedication to contributing to the team’s success.

He expressed gratitude to His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman, for entrusting him with this responsibility once again, as well as to Ambassador Yahaya Seriki and the management of Kwara United for their warm welcome.

Acknowledging his recent tenure with Remo Stars, where he made significant contributions to the team’s success, Badawiy highlighted the importance of answering the call to return home and fulfil his duties with Kwara United.

Despite his attachment to Remo Stars, he underscored the significance of serving his home state and expressed his readiness to begin his responsibilities anew.

Currently attending Remo Stars’ match against Sporting Lagos in Lagos, Badawiy affirmed his commitment to swiftly transitioning to his role with Kwara United following the conclusion of his duties with Remo Stars.

“Remo Stars is among the top teams in Nigeria and I would have loved to win the League with them, but home calling is important as I must return and start my duty.

“I am currently in Lagos for Remo Stars’ match against Sporting Lagos and I will from here move straight to join my team,” Badawiy explained.

As Kwara United prepares for their upcoming match against Enugu Rangers, Badawiy’s return heralds a new chapter for the team, and his experience and dedication are poised to make a positive impact on their future endeavours.
